NOTICE: Stellarton Town Council will be changing the position of the Animal Control Officer strictly to Dog Control Officer. Costs relating to other animal situations, except dogs, is the responsibility of the property owner.
Dog Licensing: All dogs must be licensed in the Town of Stellarton by June 1st of each year. Fees are $10.00 male, $10.00 spayed female, $30.00 female and $40.00 for a kennel license.
Animal complaints: Do not handle any animal that you come in contact with, other than your own. If you have a complaint or concern about an animal or situation that you may come in contact with, please contact at the Stellarton Police Service (902) 752-6160.

Fines: The fines are as follows: |

$100.00 up to $1000.00 |

Kennel Fee: |
$15.00 for every 48 hours |
|
Dogs barking and disturbing the peace: |
$100.00 up to $1000.00 |
Wild Animals: The animal control officer will also look after the NUISANCE WILDLIFE under the Nova Scotia Wildlife Act and Regulations.
