"Support Our Troops"

In addition to our duties in support of the Town and its citizens, the members of the Stellarton Police Service wanted to show support to the men and women of our military who carry out many duties on behalf of the citizens of Canada at home and around the world.  As part of our effort to SUPPORT OUR TROOPS, the service has produced a unique magnetic ribbon which combines a number of symbols to show that support.  The yellow ribbon has a very visible "Support Our Troops" message.  The Stellarton Police crest incorporates our National flag and the Nova Scotia flag represents our beautiful province.  The large version of this ribbon is attached to our police vehicles for special occasions such as Remembrance Day. 

A smaller version of the ribbon is available for sale to the public at a price of $5.00.  If you are living outside Pictou County, the cost would also include shipping.  It can be obtained at the Stellarton Police Office during business hours from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, or call / write and arrangements can be made to forward them to you. 

All proceeds from the sale of this ribbon will be provided to the Military Family Resource Centre in Halifax.
